Note for:   Irene Terresa Lonsdale,   10 SEP 1898 - 3 SEP 1947         Index

Peter Sullivan gives birth date as 10th August 1899.
A search of the Births Index failed to show registration of the birth of
Irene Terresa Lonsdale in any year between 1893 and 1904.
Her death is registered in the register, September quarter 1947:
Sullivan, Irene T. age 48, Ware, 4b 152.
This also suggests her birth in about 1899.

Note for:   Annie Clara Sullivan,   9 OCT 1902 - 29 SEP 1986         Index

Always known in the family as Clare.
Unfortunately at her funeral, the vicar kept referring to her as
'Annie'. He was obviously poorly briefed I only wish that I had the
courage to stand up and correct him at the time.
The General Register shows Sullivan, Annie Clara - Pancras 1b 58 (58 not
clear).

Notes

Note for:   Silas Beebe,   ABT. 1853 - 11 SEP 1920         Index

Lived at Hassett Street, Bedford at time of marriage to Frances Eleanor
Spriggs.
At time of Daisy birth was Bricklayers labourer living at 6 Butchers
Yard, St Mary, Bedford.

Silas is shown in various sources as having a number of occupations:
Horse breaker, bricklayers labourer, general labourer, brewers labourer,
stone quarryman, groom domestic and farm labourer.

Apparently Bill (William?) told someone that there were 12 children and
one died very young.

Was baptised in Bedford St Paul in Nov 1853 as was his sister Julia in
1851. The address was given as Union Square in both cases.

Annie Beebe is perhaps not his sister but his daughter.

Was born in or before 1853. Try to find his entry in the General
Register. I do not have a birth certificate for him.
I do not have a death certificate for Silas and have not been able to
trace his death. The marriage certificate of his daughter Nellie (1929)
shows Silas as deceased but this cannot be certain. Silas would be about
76 in 1929 although he may have died several years earlier. Albert Woods
was born in 1907 and presumably Silas was not the father. Silas would
have been about 54 in 1907.

The General Register shows the death of a Silas Beeby age 64 in
Marylebone ref: 1a 503. I am quite certain that this is a different
person as he would have been born in 1834, twenty years too early.

1881 census for Bedford shows Silas Beeby age 28 living in Bedford St
Paul with three other people. William age 65 (head), Mary Ann 66 (wife
of head), Annie 5 (daughter of head), and Silas. Silas is shown to be
married rather than single or widower and it seems very unlikely that
Annie is the daughter of William as stated. He and his wife Mary are too
old unless Annie was adopted. I think Annie is more likely to be
daughter of Silas. Unless the age of Annie is wrong. Where is the wife
of Silas? Is it Frances or Ellen?
1861 census shows age 7 born in Bedford and living with his parents.
Shown as a bricklayer on daughter Sarah Elizabeth birth cert. living at
6, Christies Court, Bedford.
Shown as a bricklayers labourer on daughter Harriets birth cert. living
at Paradise Court, Harpur Street, Bedford.
