Louisa was 2 years old when her parents married, hence her surname at
birth was her mothers name Oliver. On her death certificate her maiden
name is given as Walker which it is assumed she became at the age of 2.

She married George Henry Wilkinson and after he died married Alfred
Lionel Richard Clews and after he died married Alfred Robert Turner.

Birth certificate in book no 85, entry 182.
Died in hospital from "gunshot wound to shoulder which was self inflicted
from accidental discharge of his rifle".
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission tell me that he was Gunner Leslie
John Beebe, army number 835278, 1st Battalion Second Light Anti Aircraft
Regiment, Royal Artillery.
He is buried in Cairo War Memorial Cemetary in Egypt. The grave is in
row K grave number 28.
Betty says "John died at Tobruk (on the coast of Libiya near the border
with Egypt) from a self inflicted wound, formerly a sergeant in Royal
Horse Artillery he was demoted for unauthorised firing of a gun (or
something similar), had a horrific time and was evacuated from Dunkirk in
1940. Just a few days later told to report to Catterick Barracks from
where he was sent to Egypt. His nerves were shattered and he should
never have been sent but men were just numbers. His brother Bob (Robert)
offered to go in his place but was not allowed to".

Buried at Lawrence Wetherstones, Otago, New Zealand.
Reference to her was found in the parish register, Midlothian Section,
Scotland.

Sailed from Gravesend in Kent on January 1st 1859 on ship called
"Mariner" with their 4 children, William, James, Agnes, Jane. Arrived in
Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand on June 2nd 1859.

I originally showed Helma as married to Adriaan G. Laurens but the tree
given to my by Boy Weersma makes no mention of her. I do not know where
the original data came from but it may have been verbally from Tiemen
Weersma and inaccurate. I have therefore detached her pending
confirmation one way or the other.

Birth certificate of his son Tiemen shows the occupation of Rudolph as
"Assistant Resident of the Civil Service of the Outer Possessions,
residing at Kapan".

After Tiemen left the army in Indonesia he moved to New Zealand where he
worked as a builder / carpenter.

It is said that after the war he continued as a flying instructor in New
Zealand. He came over to England to train some British pilots and was
killed while flight training in Scotland.
