Bryan Garratt was born August 16, 1880 in Milton, Northampton, England to parents Charles Garratt and Sarah Jane Hobbs. He immigrated to Canada in 1904. He was a bricklayer and builder by trade. He, his wife & daughter moved to Australia in 1914/15 where Margaret Dorothy was born. They moved back to Victoria, BC in 1916/17. Bryan died January 2, 1931 from asphixiation (BC archives reg $1931-0945474).
